The Community

We are an international community united by a desire for peaceful living and the love of Christian Science. The community promotes fellowship and connection through voluntary activities - from our tea-parties, musical entertainments and discussion groups, to gardening… which cultivates not only plants, but also friendships.

A green delight in the heart of London - our beautiful, large garden. It offers tenants a tranquil space to meet one another, read, reflect, and pray. The garden serves as a symbol of beauty, growth, renewal, and the nurturing spirit that permeates our community.

Gather Together

Bow House tenants gather together to enjoy online recordings of the Wednesday Testimony meetings and Sunday Services from The Mother Church in Boston. Watching these services together is a cherished tradition that unites us in pursuing spiritual growth and healing.

Throughout the year, we have events for Bow House residents, friends, and guests. Events include Open Days, Thanksgiving dinners, and Carol Concerts.

“I find Bow House combines the advantages of an independent tenancy and freedom of thinking with shared views on a universal dimension governing the universe.”

“I enjoy the weekly informal group, sharing ideas and insights gained from studying the Christian Science Quarterly Bible Lesson.”

“The Thames River path is within walking distance or a short bus ride, and I often walk or cycle along the river to Battersea Park or the Kings Road, Chelsea.”
